Hitachi HMA-6500 1980 in Brilliant Silver
The amplifier that created a benchmark by discovering Mosfet's in the 1st place, and later sharing with everyone their full employment of components and design which they made themselves in house on these line of amps. Signal to noise ratio 115 dB, harmonic distortion of less than 0.02 percent, which is impressive for a product from this era. and many other specs to be admired. A true classic that sounds, and is probably measurable way over 50 W per channel with much current behind those Watts. Overly designed and overbuilt.
